ACHILL #3

Print Size
THE clouds do strange things on Achill Island. I'm not sure why.
I'm just happy to appreciate it and photograph it when the opportunity arises.
As well as being the largest island off the Irish coast, Achill is also the most beautiful.
On a sunny day, it's simply an exhilarating place to be. You never want to go home.
It’s therefore a pleasant surprise to find that it’s still relatively unspoiled by tourism.
This particular image was a gift. We were visiting the local kayaking centre
and I just turned around and saw the picture you’re now looking at.
The colours and shapes were all there as you see them. The kayaks
made a most delightful foreground while the cloud
over the mountain was positively breathtaking.
